From blank sheet to full roster
- 1Create the event at https://im-in.events/create. A title and a date are enough to start.
- 2Add the shifts. Each one gets a time and a number of spots, like 5 volunteers from 8 to 10.
- 3Leave the 24-hour and 1-hour reminders on. You can still send your own from the dashboard.
- 4Share the link in the newsletter, the group chat, or Slack.
- 5Watch the shifts fill in. The bar on each one shows what's still open.
- 6On the day, open the live list from the dashboard.
- 7Need it on paper? Pro exports the list to CSV.

Questions volunteer coordinators ask
Is there a volunteer limit?
No. Free covers unlimited volunteers and unlimited events.
Can volunteers sign up without creating an account?
Yes. A name and an email, and they're in. No account, no app.
Can I require certain shifts to have a minimum capacity?
Set the number of spots on each shift. The sheet shows how many are still open, so you know where to recruit before the day.
Can volunteers change shifts?
They can cancel from the manage link in their confirmation email, then sign up for another shift. Swapping in one step isn't built yet.
How do reminders work?
With automatic reminders on, everyone signed up gets an email 24 hours and 1 hour before. You can also send one yourself from the dashboard.
Can I collect donations or fees alongside volunteer signups?
Not yet. Signups don't collect payments of any kind.
What does the QR code do?
It opens the public signup page, so a flyer on the fridge works as well as the link. It isn't a check-in ticket.
Can I'm In! handle a one-time 200-volunteer event?
Yes. Set the spots, share the link, and let it fill. Free handles 200 volunteers, or 2,000, with no upgrade.
